So, I had one of those chocolate Dove promises today, the ones that come with the "inspirational" quotes. And one of the quotes was "You're eating this whole hiding from your kid, aren't you?"

That means someone(s) at Dove thought there was a large enough population of people that would relate to trying to hide from their kids just to enjoy a piece of chocolate that they mass produced wrappers that say that.

I really don't understand how society works. They've convinced us that wanting to hide from your kids is normal while simultaneously convincing the majority of people that having kids is good and enjoyable.

It's like they want parenthood to be their own special club where they can complain about membership but outsiders can't...but if you join you can complain, too!

um, no she's not, there's never a time when most moos arent complaining about something, and 50% or more it is of their own making, and/or something they knew was gonna happen when they said they wanted moohood. IDK one thing moos think is gonna happen that is gonna be delightful in reality. I really dont. U have to be a really special PNB to raise kids that are delightful more often than not, but even the other 'outside' stuff that is expected outta you w/ the schools and little league and crap like that is awful.

I think if parunts had a crystal ball, no one would really do it.

The only time my mother ever complained about Moohood was when my older sister was dancing with the Grim Reaper. Due to uncontrollable asthma, my sister frequently danced with the grim reaper in the ICU. We nearly lost her several times, then finally did in 1999 to a massive stroke + heart attack. She died on her kitchen floor.
