A pathetic breeder made screenshots of old posts here and put them together on reddit. He was stupid enough to forget to blank out post names on some screenshots. Of course I recognized the writing style and knew where he lurked, because I look at that sub from time to time for entertainment purposes.

Yeah, I saw the comment about "if they said that about women or teenage girls." That's so nonsensical. It's like seeing the statement "Wow, it's really funny when kittens attack your ankles" and responding "If they said that about tigers...."

Yes, we don't make the same generalizations about women and teenage girls that we make about children left to run wild. Because we're talking about children, not women and teenage girls. Honestly, some people will twist their brains into knots to justify their outrage. The only way to equate childfreeness with misogyny is to conflate being a woman with being a mother. If you view motherhood as the only acceptable purpose of womanhood, then being childfree would be misogynistic to that view, I suppose. But since we don't view women as incubators, the argument pretty much falls apart right there.

Yeah, it's their space to complain about us...the difference is, we complain about having parenthood shoved at us from every angle, especially when people find out we're CF. But for them, they have to seek us out to find something to complain about. It's like hitting yourself with a hammer and then complaining that it hurts, lol.

I like how, according to these brain trusts, we are misogynistic for saying anything bad about women who give birth, but it's somehow not misogynistic to give a woman grief for not wanting kids.

I also see one of the rules in the sidebar of that sub is "don't mock the childfree lifestyle," but then the description under that rule is, "we are here to mock the ridiculousness of r/childfree." And of course the classic "childfree people wish all kids would die" chestnut is in the bottom of the comments. These sound like the kinds of people who leave one-star reviews on businesses for closing at closing time. Like you can't even be mad at people this dumb because you're too busy wondering if their parents were related before they were married.
