Im always finding these Craigslist ads where parents are looking for slaves... er, Mothers Helpers to care for their kids:
We are looking for a Mother's Helper / Babysitter in our Hallandale Beach home. You must have experience with 1 and 2 year olds. NO ENGLISH IS OK.
HOURS NEEDED
Mondays-Fridays, 2-3 hours per day. Afternoons work best but we are willing to consider other times of the day. Our schedule is flexible.
ABOUT US
We are a young 30-ish couple working from home. We have two energetic young boys, ages 1 and 7 and need 2-3 hours of quiet working time per day. We want someone to entertain the boys and to keep them quiet while we work.
We are primarily looking for a "grandma" figure for the boys (age 50-65) but are willing to consider a "big brother/big sister" (age 18-25). We are a multicultural family. Apply only if you are comfortable with diverse cultures.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education is very important to us. We want the boys both to learn and to play. This is what you would be responsible for:
-Going to the beach / pool / playground each day (and cleaning up afterwards so there is no sand in the house)
-Playing board games (on rainy days)
-Reading stories 30 min per day (in any language)
-Making sure the 7-year finishes his daily math work (~15 minutes per day)
-Preparing simple and healthy snacks (steamed vegetables, fruit slices, etc. -- no processed food, no junk food)
-Keeping the boys relatively quiet when they are in the house
-Cleaning up after the boys (only when necessary)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will:
-Be extremely patient
-Have some college education (or be a current student)
-Be able to set up a daily schedule and then stick to it
-Be prepared to discipline the boys if they misbehave
Current students ok.
No English is okay.
You will not need to drive.
Note: We rarely watch TV and would prefer that the TV stays off. We do not want the boys to watch TV at all.

Ridiculous. Theres no way that two energetic small boys are going to stay very quiet for 2-3 hours while they're home.

Well, if they ARE illegal aliens, it is very easy to keep them in line with deportation threats.
Or the fact that they can always got Roberta to work for 35 cents a day when Maria complains about 40 cents a day..
