We just had a baby-sitter who was convicted for killing some couples baby.
It seems to me a murderous moo and duh could easily set up a baby sitter on a phony charge. All that is needed is to hire the sitter, even have her/him over a few times, check backgrounds...
When the time comes, murder the baby, meet the baby sitter at the door. Tell them the baby is asleep upstairs... don't disturb for a couple of hours, and then check on it.
Of course, when the baby is found dead (by the breeders hands) blame it on the baby sitter. (If you use a hot water bottle it would be easy to distort the time of death.)

Scary? I just think baby sitters had best make sure baby or kid ok before the parents leave.
