There's a few ways to respond to this one;
1)Simply say that this clod is illeterate.Ageism is not a word.
2)Tell he/she/it, that truly"ageist" people act like children, and engage in activities like name calling. It is very important to smile while you do that,and suggest that they seek counseling for their"ageist ways".
3)Slap them. Hard. Now do it again.
I'm just kidding. Really, the best way to respond is not to. This asshole is trying to start trouble, and you never know what will happen in this age of "ism's". You didn't mention if this was a co-worker, or not, so I would let it go. Best of luck!
