I work food service to feed my beloved animals.

Welcome audiophile! I too work food service so my pets can eat better than I do! I've tried to reason with them, and motivate them to get jobs, ya know, to pull their weight....not happening, not happening at all. Oh well, can't win em' all I guess. winking smiley

Hi all.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I joined because I'm glad to find other CF people are out there other than my partner and I.

A little background info. I'm 22 years old.I'm female. I'm goth. I live in the north island of New Zealand. I have never been interested in any aspect of dealing children ( pregnancy, birth, raising kids...). My parents are supportive of my choice to be CF, I wish I could say the same for my friends. I'm an artist. I own two awesomely crazy cats.

I guess I would just like to say Hi to everyone.
To all the recent newcomers:

Hey all. Thought it was about time to come out of he shadows and introduce myself. I''m 33, married and always knew I would sell my uterus for a couple grape skittles rather than let anything occupy it. Myself, cats and the husband are all I should ever be responsible for. You guys are my total stress relief after days at work dealing with the public and the constant parade of self important mombies that I have to entertain. Thanks for all the times you have made me laugh without even knowing it.

Welcome! Love your screen name.
Hi everybody! :hello

I have been bombarded with :bayybee talk at work, on facebook...argh! I need a refuge from all the insanity.

I am a 30, atheist, living in Maryland and working full time for a non-profit (that develops reading/math/etc lessons for schools). I may not like/want kids (*shudder*) but I do want other people's kids to be educated. Maybe some of them will decide NOT to procreate...I can dream.

I am (FINALLY) preparing to move out of my parent's house. After years of college and struggling to find gainful and sustained employment, I am now able to get the hell out. This has been YEARS in the making and I cannot put into words how happy I am. Sometimes I wonder if my parents should have had kids. I know I have no desire to take care of another human being, and certainly no desire to ruin my body by getting pregnant nor contribute to overpopulation.

What's a 30-year old heathen to do with her free time and disposable income? I am a bookworm, music lover, coffee addict, Rennie... I enjoy going out with friends for a few drinks, going to concerts, or quiet time at home. I do want a dog one day; my family has a 5 year old Chinese Shar-pei named Torpedo (we adopted him from our local SPCA). The hard part about moving will be leaving him behind. sad smiley But I'm not moving too far so I will make time to see him and spoil him.

Well, that's all I can think of at this time. Glad to be here! smiling smiley
Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I have posted on this board before, when you could do so without registering. For those of you who also post or used to post on ChildfreeEZ board, you may know me from there, same user name. 35 this year, currently living in London, CF and working in legal research and academia.

Hi. :1wv
I also work in a legal academic in environment. A year in London sounds incredible although it has been gray and rainy for over a week here in NC so I can pretend.
Hello, everyone! I've been lurking for a couple of years (not all of them are breeders!) and, when I began to see pukey, sophomoric 'I made a babby' jokes from an intelligent, interesting friend of mine, it made me want to barf, and I knew I had to join.

I'm in my late 20s and am an archaeologist (though still early in my academic career).

Just wanted to thank everyone who posts and comments; you've really relieved a lot of my frustrations with this child-centric society. It's so good to know there are others out there!smiling smiley I'm sure many of the other childfree who remain lurkers feel the same!
Hello there smile rolling left rightsmile
I'm a longtime lurker too,who finally found the courage to register.
I loove this forum because it's so unapologetically childfree and I yearn to have a place where I can share my experiences in a "breederific" (see,I've been practicing my vocabularygrinning smiley) world.
I'm 22 years old and live in Europe (Germany to be precise ) and I'm currently studying to become a special ed teacher. One of my subjects is English ,so feel free to correct me if I make a mistake,I can use the practice :jump

Hi,

I'm Lizzie, 24, and from SoCal. Always hated kids, never wanted them. I told my mom when I was 12 that I never wanted kids, and as soon as I could I Essure'd myself to make sure I'd never spawn. I can't stand being around them, they annoy the shit out of me. Glad I could find a place with like minded people smiling smiley

I have been on this board for a week or 2 but haven't taken the time to introduce myself -- until now.

I am a 25-year-old child-free woman who has devout Mormon grandparents on her dad's side.

I haven't been pressured to procreate by anyone but perhaps that's because I am not married?

I have a little brother and sister who I love greatly but kids just annoy the crap out of me and I can't see myself being a mom.

I wouldn't say that I hate kids -- I think that they're cute and can be funny -- I am simply not interested in them.

The messes, loudness and constant needy behavior is not worth the sometimes cute things that sprogs do and say.

I'd resent someone who took away all of myself.

One cannot even do the most mundane of chores or indulge in their hobbies without being interrupted when kids are present.

Video games, sleep, money and a boyfriend are more important to me.

Some of you seem to outright hate kids, not just dislike them.

Care to share why? I am not being judgmental here, just curious, because this is such a taboo topic.
FINALLY. I've found my people. :yr It's SO fantastic to find---rather, stumble upon---this forum!!! I got here totally by accident...it's great to see that there's a place full of like-minded people on here to share my angst about kids, people with kids, and people who want to force YOU to have fucking kids even when you don't want 'em and would just as soon rip 'em out with a coathanger as change a fucking diaper. Glad to be here!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! for creating this place!!!!Mr. T: I pitty tha foolhankyou :jump

P.S. Is it possible for someone to make an abortion emoticon? I can't find any anywhere...seriously. Is NO one twisted enough to come up with one? I mean, I am--I'm just not talented enough to know how to make one or I would... :satan
Sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask---I'm a :newb --but is there a reason my icon doesn't show up? Do gifs show up as icons, or can't you use them as such? Thanks for any info, and again, sorry for asking that here...
Hello!

I've been lurking here since the beginning of this year and registered this week (just didn't have the cojones to say hi to everyone).
I found this forum while questioning my options for the future and I have to say at first I thought the language was kind of rude (I've never seen so many "dirty names" in a sentence before!) plus I didn't understand certain abbreviations (English is not my first language). But now I'm used to it and it's highly entertaining, althought I'm still in the dark about some little tiny things.
However, google is my friend so no worries. winking smiley
I'm a in my early 20s, I live in Europe and I'm currently studying.
Nice to meet you all! grinning smiley

Generally these questions go in the office, if you want somebody who knows the answer to see them. (I don't know the answer or I'd give it.)
