PET FOOD RECALL! I think they poisoned my cat....

Have any of you heard of the massive pet food recall that happened recently? If not, here's the info...
Apparently they think rat poison got into the products listed at the below sites.

Anyway, a couple months ago my cat was diagnosed with renal failure and placed on prescription food. Granted she is 16, so it may be age related. However she also ate one of the listed products on an almost daily basis, up until she received her diagnosis. Currently she is on prescription renal management cat food, and is doing much much better. What kind of cheeses me off is that on the site, they say that they will be covering the medical costs for affected pets, provided you can provide them with the cat food or empty container (at least that's how I understood it). Not being a breeder (of humans), I simply don't keep empty containers of cat food for months on end. I guess I have to call my vet and talk to her, because I not only had to invest in the costs of her medical care, but also the costs associated with cleaning up pee from a cat whose kidneys were failing all over my floors.
