The humble burg of Hopewell Township passed an ordinance Monday that limits romantic interactions among chickens in backyard farms, according to The Times of Trenton.
The measure dictates roosters can only visit hens 10 days each year, and roosters caught crowing for an extended period of time after a chicken coop conquest risks being fricasseed, or, even worse, at least a two-year barnyard sex ban on the property.

Wow. Some of these locales just can't dream up crazy enough stuff. I mean Don't Ask Don't Crow for CHICKENS? I will have to send that one on. I can understand a noise abatement thing as chickens are just annoying...wish they woulnd't allow the damn things in the city...but I dunno how much help this is gonna be. I mean, they are chickens. Uh and the romantic interactions are kind of what keep them laying eggs...I assume that IS why people keep them.
