Pet Addiction??? :-/
April 27, 2008
A former co-worker who calls from time to time now has three yip-yaps in her condo, which was purchased by her parents when the woman went on disability for mental health problems. "J" works part-time in customer service which is how I met her. Off and on over the years, "J" needs to borrow money from her parents for car repairs and other stuff because all of her animals have cost her plenty.

It is not as if she had one or two long-time pets. She has switched out cats and dogs that did 'not get along' with her other dog who died years ago. That is her business but it was still money going in and out as well as sweet animals being ousted just because her evil dog who tried to bite them all started fights. Yet, she is covered 100% as she is on Medicare. Yet, those who are responsible with finances and work hard for very little get no consideration. Disability and breeding are the only reasons for Selective Socialism in the country. If you are childfree and working but having hard times, it is SOL for us.

I had to get her off the phone today after hearing about her three dogs. Her father had rationed her to only have one pet because he was tired of bailing out his 40-something daughter every single time she had a problem. She was told to budget but Daddio caved when she sad she 'needed' more animals. To make extra $$$, she breeds them but then bitches when animal breeders want to buy the pups. Hell, she is doing the same thing -- like when she did a trade with the woman who let her use the credit card to buy a laptop but paid it off by breeding a Chihuahua for her.

I know this is one odd-assed post but it is another form of breeding more pets when shelters are FULL of animals just so "J" can have financial gain. I am sick of hearing about her dogs so I get her off the line ASAP. It would be different if she could actually afford the pets and was not breeding them out to pay for living outside her means. I am also tired of people on some sort of government assistance living quite expensively while getting freebies for medical care while many of us struggle with our own pay.

Just my opinion... lurking

when we were looking at cats we went to visit a few foster mothers and got the distinct impression that these were hoarders posting on "Petfinder" to hide their little farms.

2 of these bizarro women (one lived in a furnitureless trailer and slept on the floor with 3 dogs and about 50 cats) turned us down because we don't vaccinate every year.....but sleeping in cat turds is ok.....
