did you see Batman? what did you think? Should Ledger get an Oscar for being a dead junkie?

I saw it. I thought it was long, good but not great... well great but not the cinematic masterpiece a lot of people are making it out to be, and that everyone gave strong performances, but none that were Oscar-worthy. I didn't like Maggie Gyllenhaal in that role.

Gotta agree with you on gyllenhaal on that one, S. I have tried so hard to like her b/c she's not an attention whore but she looks like the dog that's always getting beaten for being in the way.

I have respect for turtles.

I'm in two minds about the Ledger oscar thing. On one hand, I do think he did a very good job as the Joker. But on the other, I think giving him a posthumous oscar would seem like a token gesture, like 'oh let's give the dead guy an award', just because he's dead.
