Wonky Weather
August 02, 2015
Until a week ago, this place has averaged 30-38°C, which is most uncharacteristic. Adriatic sea had 30°C.

Now it's snowing. It's a really fine snow, which, of course, isn't sticking to anything, but it's bloody August and the Sun is peaking over the cloud covering :eyebrows

It's going to be an early, hard winter. Here the trees are already turning and I saw a humming bird today. They don't start showing up here until the fall but they are buzzing around already.

IT'S HOTTER THAN HELL! HERE! Chicago, US.

I think this is (Lat.) about 41N. And it's now like The Tropics. .

It's straight up SHOCKING. And no you can't ignore it anymore, either.

I came from MI. 100 mi. E. It's a bit cooler. I was thinking - well, yeah, I know it's a bit hotter here ~

No, not my imagination or 'getting used to my new home' (I've been here for at least 15 yrs now.)

This is 'above and beyond'. Shocking. Weekly Tornados and Monsoon like storms. In fact - we're having a thunder storm - right now.

90 - 110 F, plus high humidities close to 100% - which is why it's raining right now. And prior to into the 70, 80% range until it finally busts out as a storm.

It's like The Tropics here now. I'm not the only one observing this either.

If I start calling this Margaritaville - would that help?

It's gone to the point where it can't be written off as an 'extreme day' or 'season' - it's too blatantly obvious now.

GAH

Yes we are observing it too here / and region wide, US / Canadian Great Lakes Region. Of which most of the population is on the S. end.

My Mom claims she saw a "Black Pelican". SW Lower MI. ?

I'd not believe it but I've seen some bugs (insects) around here (W. side O' Chi) - that look like they'd be more at home in Guatemala.

The heat and humidity HAVE increased GREATLY. And it's too blatantly obvious to try to 'pass off' now.

Like walking into a steam bath, is the only way I can describe it ~

I have to scuttle back to my AC'd cave now ~

I'm glad others are interested in these topics, I read a great deal about these things as well.

I was reminded of a an idea / theory I saw discussed in a book ~

Hurricane Joaquin is about to hit the east coast of the USA. I only hope that it destroys Donald Trump's Atlantic City casinos.

His toupee just saw its shadow. That means 4 more years of Democrats in the white house

I wish we could get our emoticons back. That deserves the ROFL smiley.

Joaquin turned out to be a "what the hell?" storm. All the others were labeled as soon as they spun off the coast of Africa, then tracked and eventually dismissed as they made hard right turns and headed away from any prospect of landfall.

Joaquin?

BOOM! "here the fuck I am, get ready to be clobbered!"

We went through a season of complacency and are about to get our asses kicked for it.

Been raining in the DC area since Tuesday, took almost three hours to get home from a dinner meeting in Baltimore Tuesday night. Rain was coming down in sheets. We have another storm to deal with tomorrow and Saturday then Joaquin on Sunday.

Just hoping the roads don't flood or getting anywhere will be a pain in the ass.
