Mispronouncing names
September 26, 2008
My mother married (after my dad...) and after I left home...
a danish fellow by the name of Krogh. (crow)

I tend to hear the attempts when we are waiting in doctors offices.. on her name.

The one that took the cake was one place (I don't remember which doc) where the girl came out and said 'Mrs Crotch?'

I used to work at a summer camp. One of the owners last name was Bomze. (bomb-zee). He legally changed his name to martin (middle name) because no one knew how to deal with Bomze. Pity, I like unusual names like that. (excluding stupid kyd names)

I used to know a guy whose last name was "Blome", pronounced "Blow me". Poor guy.
