831 Unconditional Love From Pets

This is SOOOOOOO true. I've had so many pets over my lifetime: ducks, geese, chickens, guinea hens, rabbits, gerbils, rats, hamsters, dogs, cats, a ferret, and even an armadillo. All of these pets gave me more satisfaction, affection and happiness than any human ever can and they teach responsibility. They just love you no matter what. They were taken excellent care of and all died from old age. Our pets were family pets, my brother and I never had to be badgered into taking care of them, it was something we really wanted to do. When I get home from work and my dogs and 6 cats are waiting for me, it's like walking into a sanctuary. I prefer pets over the general breeding populace any day.

I've never considered caring for my pets "work." It's a small price to pay for what I recieve in return from them. I'd love to read that post/essay in an op-ed column. It was wonderful.
