1812 Childfree Lodging

Anytimne I've ever gone on vacation, I always inquire about brat-status of the place. I also never stay anywhere there are going to be brats hanging around. I'm so glad that there are places like this for us to enjoy a nice get-away.

If you google "adults only" hotels, resorts and bed and breakfasts, you'll be surprised at how many are out there.

Okay, so I got back from my first trip to Vegas recently and I've got to say Wow. What a bizarre and very adult place. Look! Up in the sky...naked asses! Walk down the street...get cards with naked asses! News paper boxes? Filled with naked asses. Tourist information? Naked asses. Gambling, which I don't do, everywhere...even the grocery store. You can't swing a dead baby without hitting a stumbling drunk with a hugeass container of booze at any hour of the day. Smoking, everywhere. Very expensive stores that no one appears to actually be buying anything from. Escort parades nightly. I was actually surprized that I didn't see a sex store on every block.

So my question is...Why do people bring their kids? How uncomfortable must it be to be with your parents, surrounded by drunks, in a city filled with naked asses?

I hear ya. I was out there in August 1993 and stayed at Ceasars and The Excalibur. The Excalibur at the time was marketing itself as a FAMBLEE FRIENDLY place and there were kids all over the god damned place. I was asking myself back then, "how can this be?" I guess pahrunts 13 years ago were just as bad.

Hell, I don't even think Vegas is marketing themselves to be Famblee friendly any more, at least I never saw any sign of it....except for the bored kids being dragged up and down the strip by their drunk parents. Not one single "kids eat free" sign anywhere.

Las Vegas gave up the "Famblee Friendly" advertisements. Now...it is "What happens in Vegas..stays in Vegas!!!" Of course, the moos are screaming over it. Big freaking deal! Just because New York City got $$$$ from Disney to clean up Times Square. This was so more famblees would travel to the Big Apple. NYC needed a "housecleaning". Who wants to go on vacation and get mugged in the subway? Yet, that does not mean the rest of the world has to be squeaky clean. As long as the people are protected from crime, it does not matter what type of activities take place among consenting adults. I am a person who does not like gambling. Nor do I drink. However, I applaud Las Vegas for having their own style to attract the tourists who will spend $$$$ in the casinos and bars. Just because I do not like those activities does not mean I have to ban them for other people. I have the choice to travel elsewhere.
