cf: Even when mothers breast-fed back in our days, it was very, VERY limited (as in not but for a few months) and it was something that was done VERY discreetly along with formula. You know, back when mother's had a little dignity and self-respect? I'm one of the very few here who thinks breast-feeding is perfectly normal and fine...HOWEVER, and a BIG however - only when it's done privately, sanitarily, and for GOD'S SAKE, not for YEARS!

Being a medic, I understand the importance and significance of INITIAL mother's milk - be it animals or humans - and in fact doing so (breast-feeding) would save us Americans thousands of dollars. I just think it has been taken waaaaaay out of context, it is out of control and now to a point of sickening length of time by which mothers breast-feed. It's crazy and I don't see things getting better unfortunately.
