"90% of Divorce is the Wife's Fault" (Fundie Article on Divorce-Famblee)

This is the "conclusion" to a LONG winded and scripture filled sermon in response to a woman who divorced her husband because he was abusive to her and the kids.

Rice), who said that 90% of all divorces is the wife's fault, because God created the wife to be a HELP MEET for her husband (Genesis 2:18). The wife's ministry IS her husband! Many woman pluck their marriages down to the ground (Proverb 14:1). A husband has a Biblical God-given RIGHT to RULE OVER his wife (Genesis 3:16). In many cases when a wife leaves her husband, she involves strangers in the marriage and they are quick to give heathen advice (such as encouraging a divorce). Very few husbands will compromise with a wife who tries to force him to do things her way.

Many divorces are caused by rebellion on the part of the wife, i.e., her refusal to work with her husband and submit to his authority. Nothing will destroy a marriage faster than a wife with a bad attitude. Teenage girls today are being groomed by idiots, whores, weirdoes and freaks, like Britney Spears and Madonna. We live in a trash pop culture, a gutter society that has become morally-toxic. Madonna is an idol amongst teenage girls. Madonna is a sicko! She not only blasphemes Jesus Christ in her filthy book, SEX, but also portrays herself as receiving oral sex from a dog. Is it any wonder why so many women today, who grew up idolizing Madonna, are hateful and unforgiving toward their husbands and think it's ok to divorce? Even so come Lord Jesus!

Feminism is an evil menace, a Communist agenda intended to subvert American families, destroy marriages, kill babies, ruin marriages and undermine our nation's strength. A chain link is only as strong as the weakest link. Our nation's strength is its families. If you understand this, then you'll grasp the reason why the Devil is relentlessly attacking families today through immoral television, Godless public schools, heathen music and apostate churches. Anything or anyone that strengthens families is seen as an enemy of the State and is totally eradicated and driven out!

Many women who file for divorce don't give their husband an honest chance to make things right. It's always some lame excuse like, “He's had plenty of chances.” That is sinful pride! What if God said that about you? You'd be in Hell and so would I. The Bible plainly teaches that our heart cannot be trusted. We are warned that God ponders (studies) our heart's thoughts and intents and cannot be fooled. Divorce may seem right to a woman who is being abused by her husband, but wisdom must be used before filing for divorce. "

It's all women's fault for not wanting to be slaves to men. I think the author thinks that a marriage ceremony is an elaborate purchase ceremony and a marriage certificate is a receipt for the purchase.

She may not condone abuse, but she sure condones women staying with abusive men no matter what to please the Sky Daddy. I love the last line especially...uhh, I would think a woman who chooses to divorce her abusive husband IS exercising wisdom and common sense. But to Mr. Fundie Moron here, there is no reason why any woman should ever divorce her husband because odds are, shit has hit the fan because she wasn't submissive enough. That, of course, opens the door to the argument that abuse occurs because the woman asks for it.

And what do they mean women file for divorce because they didn't give their husbands enough chances? What if the assface is abusive? Giving him another chance to make things right could mean he kills her. But hey, that'd be one less woman to take jobs away from men, right? So it's all okay if women die by the hands of abusive men, just so long as they remain with the men.

I would love to see this guy hogtied, whipped and anally raped by a dominatrix in a leather corset and a huge strap-on. I'd want to see him submit to a woman.

For some reason, I don't think wanting my husband to get a job (I applied for them for him all the time) was grounds for his physical and verbal abuse. I had to divorce that motherfucker that decided it was okay for me to have two jobs and him to sit at home sponging off of my every cent.

Anyone who says divorce is not a solution obviously hasn't dealt with an unhealthy marriage.

My "parents" and former brothers (I finally cut them off after years of being treated like shit so I now consider myself an only child) actually believe this same bullshit. My older waste of shared DNA got divorced a couple of years ago (he was mentally abusive and coming closer to being physically abusive while constantly cheating on his wife) and my idiot parents actually blame the former SIL because their goldenson would *never* do anything wrong and she is just a vindictive bitch.

Generally, I find this nonsense inadvertently. This time I was reading about Sandusky and some side article caught my interest about getting back to "family values", which led me to another article, which landed me on this Planet of Religious Fundamentalists.
