Because, you logically impaired shithead, the rapist forcefully violates the victim's basic right of bodily autonomy... much like the fetus. Alas, there is little poetic justice in the world, and endorsing it would require giving up one's ethics. So I usually find myself hoping that people like this will suffer a humane heart attack and go off to visit their Gawd.

Unfortunately, using this sort of analogy is not new to "pro-life" brigade. I have a friend who volunteers as a clinic escort and they used to have a charming fellow who walked backwards in front of women trying to walk up the sidewalk, getting as close to the women as he could, shouting "you can murder your baby but it is always wrong. Just like I can rape you. That would always be wrong but I could."
Equating rape (or the Holocaust or slavery) is disgusting and to me, just weakens their argument. Co-opting another person or group's tragedy is the sign of a weak argument.
I have started telling people who scream "baybee murder" with abortion that they should be calling the police for each and every abortion. But they won't, because even they don't really believe their own bullshit.

Notice how conservatives are always against "big gov't," if it concerns profits and labor, but have no problem with legislation against bodily autonomy, I.e., abortion and gay rights?

Forcing women to have babies they don't want, then educating them on a substandard level turns them into great cannon fodder or worker drones for the gov't and corporate machine. It keeps wages down, and everybody fighting among themselves for the crusts of the American Dream. Gay sex is for pleasure, not making babies, so of course he would be against it. Same with abortion and contraceptives.

Of course it's legitimate. A CRIME has been committed. Rape kits are also used to collect semen swabs/DNA samples. It's a matter of public interest to catch the rapist, at least when reasonable people are in charge of the judicial system. (Hopefully not ignorant fundie republicans, that is.)

It says a lot about his psychotic mentality that he refers to rape as a form of "sexual freedom." Rape is about coercion, violence and domination for the man and as someone here correctly pointed out, it's not a consensual act.
