Organ donor uterus?

I'm sure some of you heard the news awhile back that now a uterus from a corpse can be transplanted into a woman and allow them to have a child? I've always been an organ donor, but this ripped it for me. Will NOT be a donor on my next driver's license due to this awful image of some woman using my "uterus" to breed. Ugh.

Any thoughts? I'm lifelong CF.

Thanks for the warning! I'm not an organ donor but have mulled it over from time to time. This clinches it.

Then again, can you specify which parts are off limits? I hate the idea that someone may be deprived of an organ of mine that could save them just because some bint could use my uterus to breed.

Glad I'm not an organ donor. If we could specify that our organs go to Childfree people only, then maybe I'd think about it.

Donating your liver or kidneys when you die is one thing, but your uterus?????????????????????????????????? OK. Now I think I've heard errythang.

This is the most revolting thing I've heard in a long time!

So, if a young, healthy woman dies suddenly, will they offer up her ovaries, too? Maybe keep her alive long enough to produce a miracle for an infertile couple?

I'm all for organ donation to save lives, but this has crossed the line into abuse of an otherwise good thing.
