2355 Human Parasites

That shit makes me sick. Around here, there was an article in the paper about Habitat for Humanity housing that is being built. Yea, just what we need. More low income housing for people that keep having kids and cannot afford them. All shit like this does is enable their needy behavior.

Let's cut off Welfare, special programs, tax breaks and Section 8 housing and we'll see how many people suddenly find the way to become more careful about not getting pregnant.

I'd like to see a disabled Vietnam Vet get one of those houses. Yea, right. Maybe if he were some unmarried slut with 5 kids he would. Forget that he fought for this country.

Great post, KFLL!

I'm sick of seeing skanks with five shrieking bastards from four or five different baby daddies with their fucking EBT cards and WIC vouchers at the grocery stores. After they--I mean WE--buy whatever they get, they get into their late model cars (some are expensive, like Lexuses) and return to the apartments that they get with Ruin-A-Neighborhood(TM)/Section 8 certificates or to the projects.

I also get pissed off when people talk about "affordable housing in our city/town," which is code for "Bring in more Section 8 scum!"

Yes, preference should be given to a veteran over a welfare ho in all government programs. The veteran fought for his country and the slut is nothing but a parasite.

Two words: contraception (or, better yet, TUBAL!) and abortion!

Seriously, WTF?!? Does she honestly think her genes are so wonderful that they should be reproduced repeatedly? Obviously they are NOT, since 2 of the 7 kyds are already messed up.

I'd love to get into the head of a moo like that one just to figure out what the "thought process" is - assuming there is one! "Let's see... I am waist-deep in shit, living in filth, have too many baybees already, haven't worked in years... I know! I'll just fuck the biggest loser I can find and get knocked up again!"
Re: 2355 Human Parasites

Exactly, Medusa! I wish there were MORE abortions instead of less as the religious people whine. My former husband was right about one thing: "Sterilize a woman if she births one baby and goes on welfare because it shows she cannot take care of children on her own or choose a suitable partner."

Yes...the cry for affordable housing means more Section 8 complexes for Welfare Ho's. A lovely three-story complex was built in Casselberry, Florida but a person could not make too much $$$ to live there. What was once a very nice place became a fucking cesspool after the single moos moved in and their brats from different men wrecked the place.

As for Habitat for Humanity, this one priest who I knew when I went to Roman Catholic Church asked me to "help out" by swinging a hammer on a Saturday for this charity...even after knowing I worked weird night hours in a call center in 1997. I am like, "Say what??? Give up my one weekend a month off for that??? No way!!!" I got the Evil Eye from Father Fuckface.

I, too, am sick of American Socialism for Single Moos. It would be different if HfH also offered interest-free home loans for people WITHOUT children!

We can't have prevention in the US because if you use prevention methods, then you can have fun (and by fun I mean sex) without consequences (and by consequences I mean disease and children). Even though the fanatical christians say we're made by Gawd, thusly Gawd put all those nerve endings in our genital area which makes sex feel good, we're not supposed to do THAT simply for fun or pleasure. Becuase, as I see it, if you are a fanatical christian, you are not supposed to experience pleasure.

Sucks to be them, but I guess that's what happens when you throw logic and sense out the window and decide to live your life based on selections from a fictional book.
Re: 2355 Human Parasites

Fictional. That sums it up nicely.

Or how about modeling one's life from a randomly-chosen romance novel? Imagine that. I live my life by the word of So-And-So, author of "Insert Your Trashy Romance Novel Title Here."

People would look at you like you were fucking nuts. But because it's the BIIIBLE, it's A-OK.

its the puritans again, they dont like anyone anywhere having fun, alcohol, smoking, sex, and these people are in charge.

they are so paranoid that someone somewhere is having fun, and since god created us to be punished happiness must be a sin..

(i cant take a book seriously, when if you just added one more letter, it becomes BIBBLE)

A little OT, but "affordable housing," does not mean Sec. 8. Yes, many projects receive Sec. 8 vouchers, but many times projects receive a blend of financing. And affordable housing increasingly means projects that are financed with something called low-income housing tax credits. A variety of companies buy these as credits against federal income tax liability. These credits are investments in the acquisition and rehabiliation of low-income housing.

I have written about many of these developments. Some of these apartments are gorgeous. Some of the projects are a mix of incomes. Increasingly, people are realizing that even working people cannot afford a home or want to "invest" money in a home. Safe affordable apartments are the way to go. There is a movement towards providing more affordable housing for working folks, dubbed "workforce housing." Unfortunately, a lot of tax-credit projects are stereotyped. People think that they are "the projects." Some of these developments look like resorts or nice hotels.

Tell me about it, My Friend! Most religions with fictional scripture books do not want the followers to feel pleasure and have fun in life. It is about making more babies to feed their numbers.

Hell, I dabbled with the Hare Krishnas for awhile. The Bhagavad Gita is the same shit as the Bible. A fictional god who will punish those who have "illicit" sex or take intoxicants...even coffee...by making them live another life possibly as a lower creature to work their way back to human beings. I know booze ain't good for me which is why I go to AA and do not drink. But coffee??? I love my java.

I now follow a spiritual tradition that has no book that practitioners must read and believe. It is all oral tradition and living right by not harming others or self.

I have no problems thinking that when I die, I will be worm food and that is the end of me, physically and spritually. It is comforting to not have to worry about jumping through a bunch of random hoops to please some "diety" simply because if I don't that diety will be displeased or thinking that most aspects of my life are the actually at the discretion of said diety as opposed to random chance or consequences of my own actions. I have no problems with chance or consequences...nor do I have any real problems with dieties. I do have problems when fanatics try to shove those dieties and belief systems up my ass with no respect for my intelligence, traditions and upbringing, or ability to listen when I decide to "treat them as they treat me".

I knew Hare Krishnas who believe that eating onions or mushrooms entertain the mode of passion or ignorance. They are also against eating meat. The HKs live a very austere lifestyle despite their colourful garments and nice chanting. Contraception is not allowed, either. Sex is ONLY for a married couple when they want or feel they are supposed to breed another follower. Not for me...thank-you very much! Even coffee and tobacco are "intoxicants" to be avoided. Oh...most Hare Krishnas feel that contact with "non-devotees" are bad as we are in "maya" aka the material world and we will never measure up in Krisha (God's) eyes no matter how "good" we are. I am glad I said, "No," to the mind control...

Sounds like the Jehovah's Witnesses. If you aren't one of them, you're going to hell. They prefer that their followers not have contact with outsiders though that is pretty much impossible.

Sad thing is that the Hare Krishnas do become zombies even though, at first, it seems like a decent religion with happiness. The supposed "joy" is how they rope in followers. However, I think for myself so I only stuck around as an observer and ditched them after too many anti-woman talks.

Wait, though...some of us are low-income AND childfree. And not assholes.

I'm educated and smart yet I still don't even make $20,000 a year (yeah, that's right--my annual salary is barely more than my student loan debt. Boy that degree sure was worth it!). My mom has been a responsible, productive member of society all her life but she gets disability because she lost her job and has the health from hell (yeah, she's not childfree, but she sure was and is a REAL PARENT).

I don't deny that there are an ass-ton of dickheads who totally abuse the system and are poor because they're irresponsible fucks. But then there are the rest of us...
Re: 2355 Human Parasites

Kat, I hear you! I've done all of the "right" things: work my ass off for promotions, am rarely "out", do more than "just my job". Yet, I never got past the $24K salary. My mom is in a good biz - the restaurant business - and did well at this one hotel place until the new owners foolishly closed the room. Now, Mom may earn less at the bar. No one is going to subsidize her. I advised my mom to take early retirement and take some stocks I got from inheritance that are in her name. Hell, this woman was going to schlep trays around until 66 to continue her free rooms when she travels but I told her that could go as the hotel chain is bitching about that as well. My mother was divorced by my father in '67 but this woman was no moo but worked her butt off. She had too much pride to go to the government and beg for money despite her former husband paying no child support despite a court order. I am just thankful Mom's house is paid for along with her car with the job change...

Exactly. I don't know exactly what my problem is, but I don't even get called for interviews-- you'd think I'd never even applied.

And we're talking about applying to jobs I am perfectly qualified for. There must be some huge red flag in my resume that screams YOU DON'T WANT TO HIRE THIS PERSON EVEN IF SHE WERE THE LAST POTENTIAL EMPLOYEE ON EARTH!!!

The part that kills me a lot though is lack of experience. I'm smart. I can figure out how to do stuff. There's also a lot of stuff I know how to do already even though I haven't spent five years doing it at a job. But they don't care about that. And forget all those sources that tell you to put stuff you've done in college or volunteer work on your resume--they don't care about that experience either. If you weren't paid for it and it wasn't a regular job, they don't consider it experience, as far as I can tell. Spent all of college word processing and typing all your papers? They still don't believe you know how. Volunteered somewhere and learned to use computers? Nope, sorry, it wasn't a real paid job, you obviously didn't learn jack or shit.

Right now I'm an administrative assistant. A job I learned in 3 months or less (I type well, spent years as a clerical volunteer at my mom's former workplace so I knew how to file, shred, copy, fax, and the whole nine by like age 12, etc.). But I'm declined for jobs because I don't have 2, 3, 5 years of experience. I mean, who cares? I CAN DO THE FREAKING JOB!! I think I just got turned down for a typist job because one of their requirements was two years of clerical work involving typing. I type 89 wpm (and this according to THEIR clerical test)! I think they can safely assume I know how!!
Re: 2355 Human Parasites
June 22, 2007
same here, i can do on a good day 100wpm, i was trained from 8 years old to be admin, and i cant find them, but i have been told sometimes why i dont get jobs.

i am too old, too young, too qualifed, not qualified enough, and the best was we couldnt hire a man, because it would embarrass the women in the office or him, and they couldnt talk about "their" problems, (this was told to me unofficially).

and because i cant drive and lessons cost $40 per lesson

I am DYING to ask some of the places that rejected me why they rejected me...but of course one can't do that.

If I could just actually TALK to someone in the place, I could probably convince them; I do relatively well at interviews once I actually get them. So I thought of career fairs, but those are all on weekdays (who can spend all their time taking days off work to go to career fairs???) and they're all for crappy jobs; no one who's hiring for a job that pays more than minimum wage goes to those things.
