On the ABC site, one person who went by "Augieboo" just had to use the backhanded compliment of stating she respected our decision not to breed but how many of us will regret not having those squalling babies. I am tired of the condescending attitude most breeders have towards the childfree. They whine of how we have an "attitude". Well, it would not be there if we were not bingo'd every single time this topic came up. I am 43 and never regretted not having kids. I look at my life and know I would have been more of a wage slave if I had to support children. And...I made some bad choices about the men in my life and would have had to sell myself out by feeling I would have HAD to stay with certain husbands just to have a roof over my and the children's heads. Being childfree has symbolized freedom for me in my life.

My guess is breeders would have a similar "attitude" if every time they brought up their wonderful children someone said "really? Why did you have them? You'll regret it someday."

It's called common sense, breeders, not having any is no reason to be jealous of those who do.

Oh, can you IMAGINE if we'd say that to the breeders - that they'd regret having kids? Holy shit, the bingoes would sure fly then!
