It seems to be a contest
May 28, 2008
SIL said she has to hurry up and get pregnant again, because a friend of her's just announced she is pregnant.
Is it a damned race to see who can spit out more soul suckers?
Is it about the damned attention? Why would anyone race to get fat, sick, fatter, and never sleep again? Is there a trophy?
Why do women feel the need to get pregnant if everyone else in the group is doing it?

No brains.
My mantra is now people do not give a damn what they inflict on kids.
That study also talked about how happiness goes down AFTER the kids..
They looked also at why parents always blindly blatt how they are so happy with the kids. If you don't know anything else or experience anything else outside of these spawn, of course that is why you are happy. (not you personally of course... english is deficient on declensions..)

To be perfectly serious here, I believe that women do this because they are addicted to the attention it gets them.

I guess a lifetime of potential hell is worth 9 months of being worshiped for carrying the worlds next human who may find a cure for cancer.

the endorphins during pregnancy, can give the same buzz as heroin.. it affects the memory, thats why they say its so wonderful it makes them forget the pain.

and people can be addicted to those natural chemikcals

I think you are right, when my SIL announced she was pregnant, she made a big deal out of telling everyone. MY MIL cried, shook, prayed , and thanked God for this miracle.
When SIL lost the baby after 4 weeks, you would have thought she lost a full term baby.
Now that she can get pregnant again, the shit is on, people are making a big deal out of it and she is sending out ovulation / pregnant updates on email.
I think they love the attention and also telling the stupid stories to each other, they are legends in their own minds.

The endorphins are released during the birthing process and only when pain reaches a difficult level, or during extreme physical trauma [or exhilarating experiences ie, skydiving for instance], not for the whole 9 months of pregnancy. Its properties give a SIMILAR feeling of euphoria as that of heroin, only somewhat less intense and not mentally debilitating. Of course, since most women receive epidurals and other pain-relieving drugs, this blocks out the ability to feel that endorphin 'high'.
People who are addicted to their natural endorphin highs are typically those who engage in extreme activities/sports. 'Thrill seekers', as they are commonly referred to as, have this addiction and must engage in their chosen actively often to receive their reward.

For Christ sake, bottle the fucking shit and sell it, then, so these cows can stop their damned breeding and overpopulating this god damned planet.

Personally, I think the whole deal with giving people a look into your entire attempt at getting repugnant is classless, tasteless, trashy and trailer park at the very best.

Nobody cares when you are ovulating, how late you are, when you've had sex last or anything else.

There already IS a subsitute - lab-created drugs, as Merc has already mentioned. They can buy it if they want to but they dont - why? Because that would not bring about the "Awwws" and "Aaahhhhs" and aaaaaaaall that wonderful attention they get during their 9 months of attention-whoring. They simply must be the center of everyone's attention, even at the sacrifice of another human being.

Yep. Parenting makes you a selfless, wonderful person....two faces puking

I'd play it the opposite.

I'd hang with her all she wanted - flitting about in my most flattering clothing, figure-friendly outfits and fuck-me heels just to make the repugnant cow look like, well, a repugnant cow. She'd tire of that quickly.

Wow, she sounds so grown up and responsible. Also, way way more caring and selfless than us, after all she's bringing another human into this world simply so she can "keep up with the joneses". That's way more honorable than NOT having children because you don't have any desire for them.

I think pregnancy is a competitive thing with women. And they often get jealous of other pregnant women around them, who might be getting more attention than they are. I know a woman who is having baby #7 and each time, her friends throw big baby showers for her. I went to one a while back, but refuse to keep going over & over again. I think she is addicted to all the attention she gets when she is pregnant. She doesn't seem to value herself as anything other than a baby maker. She's been married several times, I might add, and with each husband she feels like if she pops out 2 or 3 kids, he might stick around....but they never do. Also, she abandoned the first two children she had, and insisted they live with her parents. She made her parents raise those kids.
