Some women are nursing their toddlers and even up to age 7 or 8.

This article says: "Don't buy into the "you must wean at one year" myth too hastily. If you and your child are both still enjoying the closeness of breastfeeding, why give it up?"

Again, I think these women get some sort of sick, closet thrill out of having a kid sucking on their tits.

I wouldn't doubt if most of them are closet pedophiles. And what better way to act out and have it be "legal" than use your own kid?

Gah...this reminds me of an ad I saw last night for diapers for older kids. It was HORRIBLE. Shows a boy, about 5 (he could have been 7 for all I know), coming out of a bathroom in his pajama bottoms into a room full of boys, also in their pj's for a sleep over. They all wrestle around while the announcer goes on about how sometimes kids wet the bed, and these plastic pants are the solution which will allow your child to live a "normal life". Obviously a solution of "properly potty training your child" or "not going on sleepovers until you stop wetting the bed", isn't going to make any money for anyone.

Now now, we can't tell them that they should properly potty train their kid, it would make the moo feel bad about herself.

And we certainly cannot suggest the kid stay home from sleepovers until it stops pissing itself. If we did that, Shitford would suffer from low self-esteem.

Just wing it nilly-willy and when your kid pisses itself well into adulthood, you have no one to thank but yourself!

I think that these women do extended breast feeding as a way of making themselves feel younger than they are, if they can keep their child a baby, they can hang on to that "new mom with a baby" feeling. That's really what its about.

A 7 or 8 year old breastfeeding is gross, I also think its child abuse. Think about the teasing that the kid will get when his friends at school find out he still sucks on his mom's tits. Just because breast milk is "healthy" doesn't mean a child should nurse forever.

There's a really funny and disgusting comedy sketch on the programme Little Britain (if the Americans here have ever seen it on BBC America). Amongst a family of nice, polite wealthy people there's a late-middle aged mother and her 20-something son. No matter what the group conversation is -- the son's upcoming wedding plans, the vicar's latest visit for tea -- shortly into it, the 20-something son interrupts his mother's conversation by saying "Bitty?" His mother says "No, not now darling. So anyways..." and the son tries again, more insistently "Bitty? Bitty mummy." The mother says to him "Not now my dear, wait until the guests have gone home. So as I was saying, Vicar..." The son gets quite agitated and insists "Bitty! Bitty now." The mother always relents and says "Alright. Excuse me." She lifts her top and this 27 year old son of hers latches onto her breast and curls up on her lap, to the astonishment of the guests, the vicar, etc. It's toe-curlingly funny because it's nearly as absurd as the way so many mares act with their too-old offspring sucking on them.

The comic sketch writers got the idea for the "Bitty" sketch when they witnessed the same thing going on for real in a restaurant when a 6 year old begged to suckle off his mother.

Its amazing that humans can't figure this out.

"Bitty"? Perhaps a reference to the size of moo's boobs? Small because the son sucks out all the juice?

but thats what these moos sometimes want (and some duhds too..) they was a person to be totally dependant on them, rather than letting they grow into people, they are controlling, helicopter moos, uber breeders.. and the like.

Sounds like they're trying to legalize incest or something.

In my opinion, breastfeeding after 6 months is exactly that:

You touch a baby (no matter how old) to anything private and it IS "incest" indeed.

That is WHY I refuse to have children. A baby NEEDS to be in VERY close contact with its mother's privates to survive and even to EXIST!

This thread just brought back some old, disgusting memories.

When he was in his early 20s, my brother was briefly into watching porn and would rent videotapes. Now, I don't care if others like porn; I just never have been into watching it. When you aren't into the action, you realize how hilarious these flicks really are. Well, some of the ones my brother rented just happened to feature lactating women! Eeeewwwwww! But clearly some people get their rocks off with this stuff.

So on the one hand we have some moos continuing to breastfeed their kyds till the preteen years, and on the other hand we have the breastfeeding brigade saying that they should be able to pop out a teat and feed their sprogs anywhere in public because there's nothing "sexual" about this activity. Just who's fooling whom?
