Oh, it's already started at the state colleges. The university I attended just built these gorgeous high-rise apartments to replace some of the old dorms -- apparently now students don't get a shared room with a couple of beds, a desk, and a communal bathroom. Nope, now they all need their own spacious apartments with dishwashers, spanking new appliances, brass fixtures, and a cleaning service! It cost the school something like $8million of taxpayer money to build these things, too. They said it was because the dorms were overcrowded, but these apartments fit far fewer students than did the dorms -- instead of two students to a room, it's one student to three rooms. (Yep, My University, the degree I earned from you enables me to do basic math!) Fucking ridiculous.
