WHY IVF IS WRONG WRONG WRONG

Remember a few months back, the link to a blog that a guest posted called The Saga - No Comment about this woman who did IVF - the one who was repugnant with twins, lost the one baby and had the other VERY prematurely? The one who was checking her referrals and saw our site in her referrals which resulted in a JUNTA of trolls invading our space here? And a nasty comment in her blog about us? Well, out of morbid curiosity, I kept tabs on that situation. The kid is a few months old now. This was from today's blog. THIS IS WHY IVF IS VERY WRONG AND A WASTE OF OUR FUCKING INSURANCE MONEY. I'd love to see this bitch's insurance company deny every fucking claim. I hope she has a million dollar cap.

I love the part where she tries to validate herself by saying, ".........events that all available facts indicate had nothing to do with my infertility......."

"We got the final bills for her NICU stay recently, and the total caused me to reach for my salts: $802,841.90. That does not include anesthesiology; daily visits by the attending neonatologists; her PDA surgery; visits by nephrology, hematology, ophthalmology and other specialists; or radiology—those account for another $50,000.00 in bills, bills we have collected in a 3-inch-thick stack while we wait for insurance to finish paying their share. Then we have the $67,000.00 for my hospital bedrest and subsequent Caesarian, and lets not even count the cost of the IVF cycle that spawned 17 embryos, only two of which survived to be transferred and only one of which survived to be born. The total is well over $900,000.00.

To quite a few people, these numbers are revolting, the sort of thing to be trotted out to illustrate Why Fertility Treatment is Wrong, as if I could have predicted the chain of events that lead to Her premature birth, events that all available facts indicate had nothing to do with my infertility. For some these numbers illustrate most clearly how ill my daughter was, and how close we came to losing her, and some see the inflation of health care costs and the impossibility of the situation facing the uninsured. Still others see only opportunities for many, many “Million Dollar Baby” jokes. My immediate thoughts upon reviewing these sums are twofold. First, that my daughter was worth every penny."

That is such happy news. What does she mean she couldn't have foreseen a premature birth? Her body, doctors, and GOD HIMSELF told her she didn't have any business breeding, and for good reason apparently. Personally, I think that ALL forms of articificial fertilization or drugs that assist in increased fertility, should be OUTLAWED. If their maternal instinct won't let them rest in peace until they have a litter to "love", then they can adopt any one of 800,000 kids who already exist who are bi-racial, older than two, or any number others from an array of kids considered "special needs". NO, they want "one of their own", which generally translates to a healthy white infant. I am not glad the poor kid has medical problems, but it tickles the shit out of me that she did NOT get the "perfect" kid she wanted. It serves her right.

Jeez, how fucked up!!! No wonder our insurance rates are sky high. I am so sick of these assholes making our insurance go up!!!!! How maddening!

What a complete fucking disaster.

I would actually LOVE to revel in this woman/couple's financial misery, but the whole thing is just too pathetic. Can you imagine how desperate/sad/lonely/completelyfuckingmental a person has to be to spend over $900,000 just to have a baby?

Again, I'd be laughing my ass off at this piss-poor excuse for a woman if I weren't so sick to my stomach.

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but I would SO LOVE to start something with this woman again. I'm itching to dole out a good bitch-slap.

I went to her blog (through Google) and it's sickening to see how many people are cheering her on. It looks like her blog is actually set up so that she can review the comments herself. Of course, that means anything negative that is said about her won't get posted. It's totally one-sided. So, basically anybody that doesn't agree with her doesn't get to have their voice heard.

This woman needs a really BIG wake-up call if you ask me.

Okay, I bit, I went to the Saga blog. !!! Is this blogger for stinkin real!!!! Crap, where is her mind? I am astonished someone could be so frickin self absorbed. I gotta get off the net, so I couldn't read more, but I had to post here while the disgust is fresh. I'm guessing she needs this for self validatiom and crap if there aren't other moos out there so they can have a frickin validation fest. Wow, this woman is a certifiable narcisshit (yea I know how I spelled it)

Okay, I totally caved and clicked the link too...I couldn't help myself.

Although the train-wrecky goodness of this blog is clearly infinite, it's interesting to note, too, just how completely disinterested the father of this baby manages to look. I went back a few months, and there are a couple of pictures of this woman's husband holding the baby. In both pictures he couldn't possibly manage to look more detatched...staring blankly ahead in one, craning his head away from the baby in another, unsmiling and bewildered-looking in both.

It's clear that this guy does NOT want this baby, or at least feels that all the fuss and financial drain wasn't worth it.

The way these women sacrifice their relationships and the happiness of their partners so that they can have what THEY want is unbelievable to me.

NO baby,especially one who no one even knows because it is yet to be determined if it will EVEN live or have any type of personality or spend it's life slumped over in a wheelchair drooling in a spittle cup and attached to a piss bag, is worth a million dollars, NONE. Most of them should have been aborted. A good example is that poor kid born to a Navy couple down in Florida who has the worst case of Treacher-Collins ever documented and was born without a face. The last documentary I saw on it was horrific, and she has had FOUR YEARS worth of surgeries already costing over 4 million dollars and is expected to have a LIFETIME of surgeries at an estimated cost to American taxpayers of BILLIONS of dollars. She will never function or look anywhere near "normal", ever, no matter how much money is wasted on her.

These babies are NOT a "gift", but rather are a burden on their families, society, a drain on taxpayers, and if given the choice would probably have opted to have never been born.

What a fucking evil selfish bitch from hell. She deserves every amount of misery life will shovel at her.

The pain of infertility is all in your FUCKING MIND. Spend ONE TENTH of what you did to make a baby, and a shrink would have helped you DEAL WITH THE CARDS YOU WERE DEALT. THERE IS NO PAIN. You know what fucking pain is? Watching a friend die of Lou Ghereg's Disease....ya know what that is, you stupid cow? It's when your body shuts down while your mind remains completely aware of the horror of your imminent demise. That's fucking PAIN, bitch. Gah. I'd love to punch her in the throat.
