Is your local freecycle full of gimme parents like mine?

I LOVE freecycle. I love the good feeling of giving useful things away to appreciative folks and I love the old copper kettle and other goodies I got in return.

But I swear, especially in the last few months, the "WANT" listings are now much more numerous than the "OFFER" ones. The ones that get my goat, though, are not the people looking for an unwanted old bike to tinker on or the like--it's the parents who can't provide for their kids. Today's listing:

"We have two teenagers in the house that are in need of pants and
shorts. My son is almost 17 and needs 34/32-34 and my daughter is 6ft.
tall, so if anyone has any tall pants women size 10, we would be
truelly greatful! Also, if you had any shoes, mens size 11 or womens
size 12. Thank you so much!!!"

Recently we had a single moo asking for a car...it never ends. "Truelly" pathetic!

oh its full of breeders, and mostly single moos begging for freebies., and craiglist has become nothing but a beg fest for single moos

I've said it before and I'll say it again: "Can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em!" Looks like that classic may have to be ammended to include can't clothe 'em, can't shelter 'em...the list goes on and on.
