There was a fire in our townhouse complex earlier this year. All summer long-- and, recently, on Sundays as well-- it's been all tearing out burned-up appliances and walls, hammering, sawing, etc. etc. Remodeling is almost done, and the managers have stated that the fixed-up units will be available for renting next month.
I guaran-fucking-tee you at least four of the five units will become Ground Zero for famblees, which of course never have fewer than two small children. Going by the stomping up and down the sidewalks and constant shrieks already in progress here, that noise is going to double, maybe triple, by Valentine's Day. Oh, jump for joy. :smn
I am so gonna miss the power saws and transistor-radio country music at 8 AM. They were restful compared to brats thundering around for hours, screaming at or bossing each other around the entire time.
