Only child is SA'd for years by her Army General father. Some people in the Army tried to support this woman but ultimately the Army tightened up on the statute of limitations. (Another article reads the law this ruling was based upon was poorly written by Congress and was not clear, perhaps by design.)
The victim finally got justice when the state of Virginia prosecuted him and he pled guilty.
There was documented abuse where the mother wrote relatives about walking in on him abusing his daughter.
And just in case anyone is wondering, the mother chose her husband over her daughter and she's actually still with this piece of shit. But maybe that will change now that he got busted down from a three star all the way down to a First Lieutenant and his pension will be greatly reduced.
The Army can only strip someone of his/her pension when he/she is court martialed or convicted of treason or other rare circumstances.
