Brats working the system- feigning illness to go home and play.

i didnt do well in my exams, everyone thought i would get all A's,. but that was the year my dad died, so my exam results were bad.

Heh. I never skipped a class in school, ever. However, eventually I did have to promise the school nurse to limit my visits to 3 times per week. I could give myself a nosebleed by blowing hard, and would use that or a head ache as an excuse to get out of classes all the time. That said, I was a really good kid who used the bad kids as a shield to get away with visiting the nurse several times a week, read or draw in class, or basically do whatever I wanted just so long as it was less disruptive than anyone else.
