old piece of moo idiocy

This was an incident I remember watching a really long time ago, at least 35 years or so..
For some reason it stuck in my mind, for a reason I will state later.
Some incompetent moo had her children, ranging in ages 8 down to 1 (about 4 involved) taken away from her and they were either adopted out or something. I do know that the moo 'rehabilitated'about 5 years later, then commenced a law suit aiming at regaining custody of the children. Now, the oldest child remembered how horrible the moo had been, loved where she was at presently, loved the foster parents or whoever had been taking care of her and the younger siblings (who did not remember moo).
Needless to say the damn bitch moo won.
The oldest childs reaction (who was age 12 now) was quoted after the court case, "I HATE HER GUTS!!!"
I always wonder how that turned out. Who in Gods green earth would want a child that would get in your face and say 'I hate you' for good reasons. I think this moo still had serious problems.
I have no doubt this child ultimately got even, but probably at the expense of her own happiness.
