#1642: Cameras on brats
July 05, 2006
I noticed that, too. It masde me all the more glad I wasn't there in person (I live outside of Boston).

But yes, it is annoying. But they are not the only ones who do this. During baseball games on TV, they have to pan to the crowd and show sprogs on camera. The Fox telecasts are especially annoying, as they have this stupid "Fan Cam" thing. Who gizzashit what's happening on the field? We gotta see the brats in the stands!

When it's not brats, it's bimbos. I hate both.

Dh & I used to go to Lakers games a lot, and they have those huge screens over the court, for the people in the nosebleed seats. You can't watch the game on them, because it's "celebrity sprog watch." Every 10 seconds, they show some rich asshole celeb sitting courtside with their damned kids! The more the fans boo, the more they show the brats. It's so annoying!

Ah, welcome to family oriented society! If you don't have kids, you don't belong, and are going against the norm!
I live about 40 minutes west of Boston, but there is no way in hell you'd find me close to Boston on the 4th. Boston makes damn sure every year to bill the 4th celebration, as well as First Night (with special fireworks at 7:15 for the kiddies) as 'Family Friendly.' Baking all day in 90+ degree heat and humidity wouldn't appeal to most people with half a brain. Hence, who do you see there? winking smiley

They'd never show the veterans, you know, the ones forth of july is ALL about. The ones who fought for our freedoms, and the day we celebrate the freeedoms for. The gawd damn kids are NOT the reason for our freedoms. The veterans are. BUT WE ALREALDY KNOW THE BREEDERS DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT VETERANS. So sad.

That's a really good point, Waterlily. They should be showing the veterans. You can say that again about kids not representing freedom of any kind!!! They represent hell!!

I agree with Medusa. I don't want to see brats OR bints.
Re: #1642: Cameras on brats

I post on a 12-Step site on MSN. Members are allowed to post photos. A newer AA on the site has posted photos of her young niece and nephew. I do not claim to be the Camera or Photo Police but I do not feel that these pictures are appropriate for a site regarding recovery from alcoholism. Maybe the lady feels she wants to be sober for her family and that is more than all good. However, the internet is plagued with creeps. The moderator of the AA site had to ban some new members who only wanted to spam for dating services or pornography sites. Posting photos of children unless on a secure family website is dangerous. I am not going to say anything since it is not my business as the issue is about living life free of liquor.

I'm so tired of seeing children and moos every time I turn on the television or read a magazine. I especially detest commercials featuring dirty children. There is one commercial in particular that depicts a child sitting in a high chair rubbing spaghetti all over itself and spilling it on the floor. It is supposed to be cute. I forget what the commercial is selling. Maybe some kind of wet-dry vacuum? But dirty children and the messes they make are not cute! Someone has to hose them down and clean up the mess. What's cute about that?

I know that commercial, Grace. It turns my stomach, as do all dirty brat commercials. I also hate that commercial with brats saying they don't know wot germs are. More crap for the paranoid moos.

Ohhhh, I hate the dirty children commericials, too. I'm very particular about cleanliness. One could probably safely eat off of any surface in my home, although I wouldn't want to watch! I HATE the commercial for paper towels where this shitty sprog finds a rubberband ball in a kitchen drawer. He takes the ball and bounces it as hard as he can. It bounces all over the kitchen, knocking things over, and making a huge mess. Moo walks in, looks at what's happening, and gets one of those, "Awwwwww, isn't this cute." types of smiles. The ball finally lands in a bowl of cereal with milk. Moo smiles again and cleans up the mess. The commercial ends with moo and boy sprog throwing the germy, milk-soaked ball back and forth across the kitchen counter, smiling and laughing like fucking goons.

Here's my version of it. Sprog finds ball. Sprog bounces ball. Ball knocks shit over. Moo walks in, says, "What in hell are you doing bouncing a ball in the kitchen? Clean up this damn mess!" Ball lands in cereal. Moo throws ball in the trashcan, smacks child's ass, hands him the roll of paper towels, and some antibacterial cleaner. Child cries while cleaning up mess. Child thinks twice before bouncing ball in kitchen.

The most disgusting commercial in my opinion has to be that one for Bounty napkins. This really ugly sprog is sitting at the table, shoving messy BBQ chicken down its greedly throat a mile a minute. Sauce is all over his hands and face. He also kept taking napkins, wiping his face with them, and throwing them ON THE FLOOR.

I can't reach for the clicker fast enough when that disgusting ad comes on. Thankfully, I haven't seen it in a long time now.

I can't stand looking at brats (or anyone, for that matter) with food smeared all over them. I also can't stand to watch *competitive eating* on TV or anywhere else. People doing anything disgusting with food makes me want to gack.

I feel the same way about ppl with food, Catmommy9. I also can't stand any commercials with crunching in them.

He's the reason that no kids are allowed in my home- he trashed my house after I spent a small fortune updating it. We sold it last year, and one of the reasons why is because his family lived less than a mile away, and we were always having trouble with them. That kid is destined to be a career criminal, just like his Duh.

You know your in- laws are bad when you're reading about them on Bratfree...

Oh, Sprogless, I'm sorry you're related to that horrid, disgusting, nasty boysprog. I'd forgotten about that commercial. It's sickening! I'll bet his moo is one of those nasty stage mothers that thinks he's absolutely adorable. Sorry about the in-laws, too. Mine are just alcoholics--much more fun!

His moo is more detestable than he is. See, his Duhddy works in the entertainment business, and got him the gig, or something. He hasn't done anything else. No, moo isn't a stage moo, she's a greedy, selfish bitch who doesn't give a shit about that kid at all. He's 10, now, and has been held back in school twice. He'll be starting third grade, I think. She also recently admitted that she snorted coke, and drank while pregnant with him. He's got problems, but that's no excuse for the shit he gets away with. They even let him ride his skateboard at his great- grandmother's funeral. Everyone was appalled, but they acted like it was cute. I no longer attend DH's family functions, because that family is so awful to deal with. Moo deliberately got me fired from my job 6 years ago, because I wouldn't cater to her demands of company freebies. She told lies about me to my boss, and he believed her bullshit. Even DH quit speaking to his (loser) brother, because his wife is so intolerable.

The other reason we moved was because of the illegals.

How Dog-awful. I'm sorry to hear about all that.

The kid was held back twice?????? Jeepers!
Sounds more like a spoiled brat, than some special kid. He needs the extra help to excell, it's seems like, but the parents obviously can't give him that. How pathedic.
