Two thoughts come to mind:
One was from the other night:
a pair of rusty gears, stuck. a little grease (the bail out) is poured on them and they spin, somewhat. then they grind to a halt in short order, and the condition is worse than when it started.
Two: this nation will sell its birthright for a mess of pottage. the times are bad, yes.. this is a stuck credit conveyer and all that would have to be done is loosen an accounting rule up (two congresswomen said it, dave ramsey said it) and it would start up again. slow, but it would run. The media and the politicians got the sheeple public into such a panic that, I think in future catastrophes, the sheeple will sign away their consititutional rights.
