whoa, the comments on that topic are brilliant exactly what we have been saying.. unfortunatly they are saying all women are like that, just when the brits do something good, they do something bad.. pandering to the moos

This is utterly ridiculous and is likely to lead to more women of childbearing facing increased difficulty in finding work.

- Keith Lonsdale, Doncaster

Clearly Blair and the Ms Harmans of Nu-Labour are hell bent on making having children the number one industry in Britain alongside the single mothers on benefit industry. The only problem is that these industries aren't self- financing. But when has Nu-Labour ever cared about who pays the bills or how many small firms go bankrupt?

- Terence, Hereford, UK

Absolute madness! All well and good when the economy is strong but it will destroy businesses when times get hard. As an employer myself, I will certainly be looking at avoiding taking on women of a childbearing age. Well intentioned but trust Labour to place heavier burdens on the wealth creators just when the socialist paradise of Sweden starts to reject the welfare state.

Lord, what fools these mortals be!
- A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act III, Scene ii

Voltaire said: "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."

H.L.Mencken wrote:"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Albert Einstein
