I'm beginning to think all of these "left a gun unsecured with toaddler around" are PNA's. You would think that pahrunts would have a bit more sense than to have a loaded gun in the house much less one that was unsecured. We were taught from the time we could walk to always treat a gun as if it were loaded and if we ever touched said gun as small children fingers would be broken. With as many of these happening there is no way all of these were accidents.
Not yet, but they are working on it. In many states it is not legal to leave an unsecured firearm unattended. Prosecutors may push for an involuntary manslaughter, but, time will show.
