I dealt with some pretty unpleasant side effects when I tried hormonal contraceptives, and I wasn't prepared to keep taking them. Although I think it's ridiculous that women's side effects are ignored while men's are sufficient to halt the study, I disagree with the author's implication that the men are wusses - all side effects ought to be taken seriously.
More contraceptive options, especially ones which allow men to choice, are desperately needed, but they shouldn't be making people sick.
