Seriously. I can imagine how traumatic and damaging it is for the mayun to see a 9 pound screaming loaf and all it's associated mess, emerge from an opening that was once a big sexual turn on. Same with breastfeeding. What man is going to be turned on by big stretched out udders, or ones still engourged with bodily fluid, after watching a kid latched on to it, sucking away for gawd knows how many years?

Childbirth and repugnancy is horribly undignified. Aside from hubby having to look at wifey's saggy tits, big purple stretch marks, and all the other unsavory goodies that come along with repugnancy, imagine the grand finale of it all - the birth. And all the wonderful events leading up to it: all the doctor visits where you're laying spread eagle while everyone and their brother is shoving devices and gadets up there. No thanks. The weight gain, constipation, waddling, all very unattractive. And the effects later in life: loss of bladder control. Very chic.

ITA!What the fuck is wrong with keeping a little mystery?

And have you ever seen the sandbagged look on the mayun's face when he's witnessing the "miracle" of birth? LOL.

I was lurking on a pahrunting board once (slow day) and one pregnant moo didn't want her hubby there at the birth. She felt it was too personal - in other words, maybe she didn't want him to see her take a dump, etc - and that he wouldn't be any help anyway. She wanted to bring either her mother or sister into the room and have him wait outside.

Yet the breeders flayed her, calling her a terrible person, a selfish bitch etc etc.

All because she wanted to retain a little dignity. . .
Typical breeders. eye rolling smiley
