When did this start happening?

Since when did the police start breaking into television programs to announce child abductions in the area? Like the viewers at home are all supposed to start a search party or something? Is this happening in other places besides Philly?

I mean, I can understand wanting to warn people about a severe storm, or something, you know, RELEVANT, but this? I hate to sound so cold, but this is just asinine.

It happens all over the place. They call it the Amber Alert System. It's usually for missing kids but can be used for missing people as well.

Sorry, but in my world, a missing child isn't a life-stopping situation.

Another way kids are being forced down everyone's throats.

Oh, so it was part of the whole Amber Alert thing. I usually just ignore those. I'd never seen them actually break into a TV show before. Irritating.

And if anyone's interested, they found the little fuckers about 30 minutes later. Yippee, I guess.
