The priorities and views of a lot of people are really fucked.

You could leave your job and work elsewhere, but there is bullshit everywhere. It's just a different flavor somewhere else.

Wow. This is some fascinating stuff here. I work for a company whose main headquarters is in a different state from my own. Apparently, prayer before meetings is common fare. I'm lucky I don't have to deal with that in my location.

As for everyone suggesting a lawsuit, I really don't think grizzly has grounds for a lawsuit just based on the emails. She would have to prove that she was somehow discriminated against for having different religious beliefs than her superiors. HOWEVER. I wouldn't just delete them. I would print them out and file them IN CASE you ever have cause to believe you ARE being discriminated against for not swallowing the Kool Aid. For instance, if you asked, "with all due respect", to be excluded from future "prayer request" emails and see any evidence of retaliation, such as being treated in a punitive fashion, are overlooked for a promotion, etc.

I'm still cracking up about what Mercurior said about sky daddy giving the baby the defective heart in the first place. Isn't operating on him going against gods will in the course of an illness? God must have gotten pissed and given mama the lump in her esophagus! And what a bunch of fucking drama queens, if you don't mind my French. Heart surgery on infants is considerably less traumatic and serious than on adults, and in most cases is quite successful.

P.S. If I had a kid born with a bum ticker, I'd be PISSED at sky daddy and tell him to go f*ck himself!

I'm a little late on this thread but I hear what KFLL states of how Grizzlycat can change her job but the same B*S will be everywhere. Let's face it; most people breed. That means the same type of breeders at a different job. Same shit, different day. Is that the saying? Here is a great button I may order from eBay that says it all... grinning smiley

Please...those Mormons in Utah enjoy their porn even if they do not buy it openly as in areas not populated by this religious cult. It is like a newcomer in AA who thought she would not be able to find an AA meeting in a "dry county" in Alabama when visiting family during the holidays! The most openly religious-zealot person is the one who is usually more into pornography, paying prostitutes for the things their wives refuse to do, and seeking other women on the 'married dating' websites. The guys holding their Bibles are the worst offenders out there. Same goes for women and their bit on "Scripture". My fav is the military wife who has a decent husband but fools around while he is deployed using "loneliness" as an excuse but claiming how "guilty" she feels when screwing other guys. All the while, this woman is getting her husband's pay and all of the military bennies such as housing and medical care. I am certain the Navy man is also pretty lonely on that ship in the middle of the ocean for 6 months. I am drifting off topic now... tongue sticking out smiley
