How can people actually believe that? Has your brother or his wife ever HAD a dog?

I've had numerous dogs, several at a time, owned them all into ripe old ages, and none of them - including our 16 year old dobe mix we have now who wears diapers, has no concept of where he is and needs to be hand-fed - were as much trouble as a kid would be.

What we usually do here is use the number in front of the subject line - it corresponds with the number of the main post on the main page. smiling smiley

If it's a new post in the comments section, it won't have a corresponding main post number.

"Get" a child first. Remind me to avoid that store.

It's coming from my mom who should know better! We have three dogs at home now and granted the third dog is a handful but she is still easier on the nerves than any of us were when we were kids.

Children are easier to take care of than a dog,
providing that you keep them fenced in the back yard and just allow them to graze on the grass out there.
