Feh, Nowhiggers, Mercurior, Ketchup, and many others bring up excellent points when it comes to the election. I used to be very much the Lefty. A lot has changed over the years. Once, I felt socialism would be a pretty grand idea with health care for all as getting covered by yourself is so costly and you can be denied for existing conditions.

I knew a lady for many years who came here from a socialized country. She married an American. She hates it here and wishes she could go back to Canada.

I can understand culture shock. However, I realise how the woman and some others want socialism because THEY do not want to work or do for themselves. If the spouse dies or leaves the Canadian, she would be forced to work or return to her country.

She looks down at work despite using services every single day such as the grocery store, beauty salon, gas station, the utilities in the house, and so forth. Yet, the workers are just a part of the masses which she feels 'too good' to be a part of even though her husband is wage earner who takes care of the 2 of them while she refuses to work.

I have found die-hard socialists in Orlando who did as little as they could but wanted to live off the system. Granted, that is not much of a comparison with the socialized nations worldwide but I hated the attitude of entitlement.

I hear Feh about the abortion issue. That is important to me but I can no longer vote on a single issue. I am tired of working my ass off and being penalized via heavy taxes for being a productive citizen. It seemed easier when I was younger and voted solely on one or two issues...

Any suggestions???

well i live in a social health care country. and while it is good for a lot of people, its not good for some..

middle management has taken over.. so while its a good ideal, in reality its not that good. i have seen incompetence, i have seem, bad doctoring.. due to this system.. but then again you have to say sometimes healtghcare is needed by those in dire need of it.. and cant afford it..

I have no sympathy for people who won't work. I also have no sympathy for people who stay unemployed & poor because they won't take just any job and consider many jobs to be beneath their "dignity". These people must have delusions of being royalty.

but sometimes, people cant get jobs for valid reasons.

like they cant afford to move, cant afford to travel.. the depressed job market, medical problems that are not serious enough to go ill so that limits the choice.. many other reasons.. besides..

the uk has about 8 million people that could work, there are no jobs here for them. so they are pushed into being sick.. or on useless training courses.

NOt all unemployed want to be unemployed.. its called hidden unemployment. and its a fact. but that would take it off topic.. i have many articles and studies proving it, hell i used to work and with anyluck after tomorrow work in the job centre.. got an interview tomorrow.. after 3000 applications and spec letters.. so while its great to look down upon the unemployed, from a lofty job position.. think about the person some want too. but cant.. no experience, too young too old. medically not able.. cant afford to move, just think about that.. Not all unemployed want to be unemployed... but external factors have to be taken into account

Speaking of work, the Canadian was able to work. She did so in Canada where she had no choice as no one was taking care of her. The woman did work ONCE while in the USA at a store but quit after a day stating she could not handle it. The husband was not thrilled that she could not stick with it. She has done 'volunteer' work off and on but that does not bring $$$ in. It is her and her husband's business since they are not on government handouts and are childfree. I feel for the guy because the woman is a nutjob who stays home all day watching soap operas and barely doing anything in the house. One could never call during her stories as she takes it so seriously. It is her life.

I know another woman who has lived off of people most of her adult life. She is on welfare with two daughters. She claimed to be a lesbian but now says she is no longer one. That is because she has ran out of women with decent jobs to live off of and is back at her mothers due to the last gal telling her that the shit was not going to continue. My guess is the moo will find a guy to rescue her as there is some interest now that she is no longer 'gay'. Sad thing is her daughters will learn this despicabe behaviour. This woman will never change and expects someone is going to magically appear with a car now that she is out of the ex-lover's house and without a vehicle.

I just learned how some people want socialism so they can be rewarded for not working while someone who makes something of his/her life is penalized. There are many instances when someone cannot work but laziness is not it. It was not supposed to be that way, was it? That is why I became conflicted over these issues. I am also becoming more careful about those I consider 'friends' as some are so nice and claim they want a better life when you meet them only for the leeching selves to come out later with entitlement attitudes.

Seriously, just WHERE do these fuckers with their hands out constantly think the money is coming from?

Do they think it grows on some magical tree or maybe we pull it out of our asses?

NO! It doesn't! It comes from the paychecks of hard working Americans. NOT the politicians who give it away as if it were theirs to give away and certainly NOT from the welfare skanks who expect that check every month!

I know quite a few people like this. I had a "friend" a while back who used me when she was going through hard times with her divorce. I did a lot of favors for her, including helping her paint her new home and helping her with house repairs. Then she just dropped me 'cause she didn't need me anymore.
She was getting alimony from her ex-husband, as soon as the alimony ran out she married husband #4. She hasn't worked in years, her kids are grown.
I think her fourth husband will eventually get tired of being a "sugar daddy". I think she knows this, so she has announced she is going to try to get pregnant again......at age 52. She said she thinks she "has eggs left". All I can say is, good luck. I think she just wants to have a baby as an excuse to keep sitting her ass at home. She plans to go to a fertility clinic and just lie about her age. You see, most of the clinics have age restrictions, and if you are 52, you are just too fucking old for them to waste time with. And I wish her luck in lying about her age as well, because she looks every year of 52.

From now on, its a huge red flag to me when I meet a woman who doesn't work for apparently no reason at all. They tend to have entitlement attitudes and they tend to be moochers.
