I first remember hearing that line in an Odd Couple episode back in the 1970s. Oscar (Jack Klugman) was calling a square dance and, being clueless about it, was rambling incoherent stuff. He ended his babble with, "shave and a haircut" which was followed by the band's "bomp-bomp"! LMAO!
