im not worried about them being like this at age 10, im worried what it'll be like when they hit puberty or become legal adults.

I honestly don't know why anyone would be an educator anymore. Teachers used to have some kind of authority over kids and the parents believed the teacher before they believed the brat. Teachers also were virtually immune to termination thanks to tenure. I'm not saying the job was easy, but it absolutely used to mean something.

Back to camping - I did plenty, I was in the Girl Scouts. I can hunt and fish too. We'd go to hard core wilderness, N Michigan and Canada. Your smart phone isn't going to work there! When I was in Scouts it was like the Military and there was no fooling around. And not for wimps either - those who couldn't hack it were culled quickly. Of course they start you out in "Day Camp" and you progress to ever more difficult.
And yes I can do all that - go into the wild with a pack on my back and survive. And you (kids) did everything - pitch tents, dig latrines, hunt, clean fish and game, cook it, the whole nine yards. I was in a 'hard core' troop. And this is not like "Summer Camp" for kids. Pfffft. Those are practically resorts in comparison.

You actually learned skills and maturity instead of being told how special you were for making it through a night without peeing on the other scouts or throwing temper tantrums!

Doesn't surprise me that so many teachers are on drugs (legal or otherwise) just to deal with their jobs. I'm sure a lot thought that they'd have some magical experience because they like kids and had a dream built up in their heads that they'd be contributing to the growth and education of someone's child. But then reality slaps them in the face when they get to deal with a room full of undisciplined monsters who act half their age.
Doesn't surprise me that this kind of behavior is the norm now. My question is this: at what point did parents do this complete flip-flop in regard to discipline? Young parents of today most likely were disciplined using normal methods like spanking, grounding, time-out, and so forth, with the occasional spoiled snowflake thrown in here and there. So why now, as adults, are these same people raising such little assholes?
It is not going to be a bright future when these little wankstains grow up. Give it 10-15 years and it'll be normal to see a fully-grown man or woman throw themselves on the ground and have a kicking, screaming tantrum because they thought the stop sign on the corner said something mean to them. I think I need to start thinking about carrying a concealed weapon for when the current wave of snowflakes becomes legal age. I don't feel like having my neck broken by a distraught 250-pound flapper because I didn't want to sniff their fingers.

I think that this has already started. You see moos all the time throwing tantrums because they aren't treated speecial. Moos who get upset because they cant beef in front of an audience with a spot light on. You get self entitled moooos that want spechail treatment because they have spechaaall treatment that have speeecfhal needs.
