K-Man has to give credit where credit is due, and that means big kudos to the Baptist pastor who reported the young man's confession to the authorities. I didn't expect to see that.

Homeskooling is coming under increasing scrutiny because of stuff like this and the Josh Duggar situation. It's about time. The last couple of years has seen more attempts in states to pass legislation controlling and monitoring home schools, though little of it has yet passed. The "Tim Tebow bills" allowing homeskooled students to play on public school sports teams might be becoming law in various states, but oversight comes with that privilege as well.
