One part of the law wants to pay for care giving along with parenting. I think this is a good idea. But parenting is 100% voluntary and there are enough people on the planet. An adult never wished to have to quit his/her job to care for another adult. Plenty of idiots quit their jobs after breeding even though they would have been much better off keeping their jobs and using birth control.

And why on earth are parents the main focus for increasing the safety net? They are already much more easily eligible for the safety net than anyone else.
They're also saying this can take the place of the universal income idea but it leaves out the childless. I'd much rather see the childless poor receive this benefit than breeders.
