Oh my god. This is exactly the deal with my mother, her brother and his bitch ass wife. She's always trying to put a wedge between my uncle and the rest of us because she's some sort of control freak bitch from hell who will never be happy unless everyone is as miserable as her. Don't play into it. Be polite but set some boundaries and stick to them. Refuse to entertain conversation about other family members, insist that if her children are going to visit they will be following the rules of your house, if she can't deal and insists that you can only see her children in her presence, Go, spoil the kids and be as sweet as pie to her, it'll make her nuts because she'll have nothing to complain about, and your nephews will know by your behavior how much you love them, so what she tries with them just won't fly. It'll make her more crazy and miserable.
