"It began shortly after the death of my daughter Molly, so my immediate reaction is I'm losing my mind, I'm sad, traumatized and all," she said. "But the dream was pretty consistent, and it was just about the process of having a baby, that I'm supposed to do this, and sometimes the voice in my dream would call me 'Mommy,' other times the voice in my dream would call me Barbara.

"Who knows how I'll be in 10 years, but who knows how you'll be in 10 years?" Higgins said. "And why should Jack not get to be alive just because I'm old?"

This is one way of insuring they're highly unlikely of being grandparents and if they do they will likely be in their 80's. This kid will be lucky to have his parents at his high school graduation because they will be in their mid-70's. Wonder if they were hoping to birth a caretaker? Then again, with the rapid aging rate of parunting there is a good chance they won't live past their mid-70's.

And to her comment about others not knowing where they will be in ten years: statistically younger moos/duhs will most likely be alive. She can't say the same thing.
Parunts in their 30's with toadlers complain about how hard it is keeping up with them.

Do they really believe the unconceived are out there waiting to be conceived and born?

I forgot to mention that there are a lot of "anti-natalists" who see themselves as wanting kids, but do not have them do to the fact that the world is an awful place. It is common for them to say things like "I love my unborn children too much to subject them to this world" Can you love the non-existant?

Apparently so. Do they think it's like an assembly line where dawG is stamping out feti like gingerbread cookies, and souls are lining up to occupy the feti as they ascend to Earth?
What about the unlucky souls who, for whatever silly reason deemed by Sky Daddy, end up in a fetus that is going to be miscarried or aborted, or they have the heart defect or they are stillborn? Tough luck, little soul, better luck next time. Maybe you'll be recycled.

I think you can. Writers, artists, etc. bring the non-existent into existence to a certain extent but it is different because it is more like loving a concept or idea. There may be something tangible as an end-product.Quote
