Qualified parent

Last year in my Local Authority. The parents done this parental course, how to be a parent, now they got a Qualification of Being a good Parent.

My thought is this, why do these parents need a piece of paper to prove that they are a parent.

All they have to do is to get knocked up and pop out a kid/crap it out/hatch a loaf. They don't need a certificate to prove that they can dicipline a child.

It is not good for resume when the employers look at a CV/resume showing this person got a Certifcate of Parenting and thinking "what's that?"

I just don't get it.

I'm with Gigabyte on this one, what's the point? I think that it will be funny as hell the first time one of those moomies with a fresh "Qualified Parent" certificate massacres 5 or 6 of her kyds, like has recently happened again with that Belgian waffle woman.
