cancer is when your own cells grow and grow and grow, and replicate, it can be caused by damage to the cell structure, damage to the self repair system. any CELL can mutate and become bad. in the trillions in your body, one can mutate for any number of reasons, chemical, bacterialogical, viral, sunlight, anything.. genetic, (Women who carry this genetic variation have an 80 percent chance of developing breast cancer and a 60 percent chance of suffering ovarian cancer during their lifetime so 80% of x amount of people could have this, or not we dont know Everyone has BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. Only a small percentage of people wind up with mutated genes. The highest incidences happen among Ashkenazi Jews, (which Queller is).
— One estimate suggests that one in about 800 people wind up with a defective BRCA1 gene, while BRCA2 mutations are less frequent. BRCA mutations account for only five to 10 percent of all breast cancers diagnosed in America.)

Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems.
Cancer is not just one disease but many diseases. There are more than 100 different types of cancer. Most cancers are named for the organ or type of cell in which they start - for example, cancer that begins in the colon is called colon cancer; cancer that begins in basal cells of the skin is called basal cell carcinoma.
Origins of Cancer
All cancers begin in cells, the body's basic unit of life. To understand cancer, it's helpful to know what happens when normal cells become cancer cells.
The body is made up of many types of cells. These cells grow and divide in a controlled way to produce more cells as they are needed to keep the body healthy. When cells become old or damaged, they die and are replaced with new cells.
However, sometimes this orderly process goes wrong. The genetic material (DNA) of a cell can become damaged or changed, producing mutations that affect normal cell growth and division. When this happens, cells do not die when they should and new cells form when the body does not need them. The extra cells may form a mass of tissue called a tumor.

Voltaire said: "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
H.L.Mencken wrote:"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.â€
