CF Poem

Hi everyone. :hello I'm relatively new here though i have been lurking for some time. Anyway I'm a poetry buff :nerd which isn't for everyone but today i was flicking through a poetry anthology when i came across a poem by Philip Larkin (supposed to be the greatest English poet of the second half of the 20th Century) which i think i want to print on a t-shirt. It has CF sentiments so i hope you like it:

This Be The Verse

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

I would wear it on a t-shirt but it might offend people. and i dont even think its just the swear words that would do it..

Hi there and welcome! I love that poem! I think you should go ahead and put it on a t-shirt, why not? It's a little too long for most people to stare at your chest long enough to read the whole thing. Put it in frilly writing to obscure it up a little and you'll have a lovely shirt. What color are you gonna go with? :spin

Yeah, cafepress is a good idea. Cut and paste it into a Word document, change it to the font you want, save it as a jpeg, upload to cafepress, order shirt; voila.
