My favorite caption...
TRANSLATION: Crossing the border into Texas offers the additional treat of a refreshing swim across the cool, meandering waters of the Rio Grande. Here, you can swim across with other handsome, tanned, young men, watching the cooling waters ripple across their taught muscular thighs as the moon glints off their smoky, dark eyes. Do not be afraid of the close bonds this may create among you and your fellow travelers. Remember, you are going to a new land, and must be willing to accept many new and strange things. Be open, and receptive to these new, dangerous, yet somehow delicious, feelings.

Yeah...it is getting old! My mother said the protest actually kept traffic on a minimum on May 1. She was on her way to the airport to fly out to see me and had no problems.

*ignores all of this*

Yay Canada. Hard to illegally immigrate here geographically, but we like immigrants, so we encourage a lot of immigration and make it a hell of easier than the States, both legally and how accepting society is. So I'm just going to put my head in the sand on this one.

I know a woman who entered into Canada with her boyfriend claiming she could do so under this policy since she and the fellow lived together over a year. Yet, this man had his girlfriend enter separately as a tourist while he just rode in with the U-Haul due to his still being a Canadian citizen while having had a US green card for years.

This woman expected socialist medicine immediately and felt her kids should be educated for free. The kids got sent back to the US -- the boy to his father and the girl pawned off on some friends -- ASAP! The single moo was shocked that Canada was not going to automatically hand over the health benefits and other goodies just because she felt entitled despite entering illegally.

The kicker is this woman was able to find an employer who would hire her under-the-table and pay her decently. The single moo's Canadian boyfriend refused to work (saying he was too good for call center jobs that were offered) and suddenly said he had an illness that flared up. The single mother supported them both while she was stressed. The single women with children tend find the worst guys!

Last I heard, the two came back to the US when this entitlement moo realised that Canada was not the Nirvana she expected...
