I was coming back home (at peak hour) with the metro yesterday and at one station, a 3-4 year old black girl came rushing in, pushing everybody to have a seat. Her mother demanded she apologized to everyone. That’s the good part. I thought, here’s a parent that tries to do a job despite a horrible child. The bad part came when the girl refused and the mother didn’t do anything. A few minutes after, she started crying. So I took my earplugs and without trying to hide anything and hoping the mother would see me do it, I put them in my ears. The situation went from intolerable to barely tolerable.

Last night, I saw a great French film “Them”. The comment I heard from my neighbors after the movie was : Here’s another good reason not to have kids. I wanted to hug them!
